The following notes are for configuring a moblie phone running Android to access planet 3 and the internet.
These settings were found via various forums and may not be accurate - but they work for me!
Adding APNs
These notes are for phones running Android 2.1 - like the Nexus One. Older versions of Android use a slightly different menu system, but the settings still work OK.
Open Settings
Open Wireless & Networks
Open Mobile networks
open Access Point Names
Click Menu button -> New APN
Access Planet 3
Name: 3services
APN: 3services
MCC: 505
MNC: 06
APN type: default (you must have the word 'default' there)
Leave the other fields blank
MMS Settings
Name: 3 MMS
APN: 3services
MMSC: http://mmsc.three.net.au:10021/mmsc
MMS proxy: mmscprox.three.net.au
MMS port: 8799
MCC: 505
MNC: 06
APN type: mms
Access the Internet
Name: Three Internet
APN: 3netaccess

Planet 3 Android App
You can download a Planet 3 app from the market to give you a Planet 3 link in your apps list.
Open the Market and search for "Planet 3", download it - it will install a Planet 3 app that will appear in your apps list
Once you have finished, reboot your phone
Update: 13/9/2010 - It looks like 3 or Google have pulled the app from the Market - Looks like we will have to use the Browser to access Planet 3 for the time being.
Stop 3 Data Roaming
I have my Nexus One set not to use data when roaming (connect to data services when roaming unticked), but it still seems to roam. I have installed an app from the market called Stop 3 Data Roaming that monitors your current operator and prevents it from downloading if it roams to another network.
